Indigenous Communities Safety Project

The purpose of this two year project is to provide knowledge sharing to Aboriginal leadership (including governance leadership, service providers and the natural leadership) in 12 Aboriginal communities (First Nations and urban Aboriginal communities) related to criminal justice, family justice and child protection laws, policies and practices that directly affect police and government responses to domestic and sexual violence and child abuse and neglect.

Be More Than a Bystander Initiative

Launched on July 7, 2011 Be More Than a Bystander is an exciting partnership between the BC Lions and EVA BC aimed at substantially increasing awareness and understanding about the impact of men's violence against women.

This 2-year initiative will see sports icons from the BC Lions use their status and public profile to create awareness about violence against women in BC and urge everyone to “Break the Silence on Violence Against Women”.
