High Risk Cases of Violence Against Women in Relationships: Collaborative Safety Planning
This CCWS document is designed as an aid for workers, and focuses on the most common risk factors for lethality in domestic violence cases in order to identify risk and develop concrete safety plans for women and their children. It also builds understanding of the importance of working with other community agencies such as police, Children and Family Services, Crown Counsel, and First Nations resources, to name a few.

Increasing Safety for Aboriginal Women: Key Themes and Resources
In 2010 and 2011, the Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) increased its focus on safety for Aboriginal women in our Community Coordination for Women's Safety (CCWS) program, holding discussions in community groups and a regional gathering in Northwest BC in March 2011.
Many concerns about violence and ideas about increasing safety were raised in these discussions by people in Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal services, mainstream services, and coordination committees on sexual and domestic violence.
This tool is one of the outcomes of these discussions. It identifies:

Women Being Arrested Backgrounder
This Community Coordination for Women's Safety (CCWS) Backgrounder, "Women Being Arrested", was originally released in September 2007 under the title "Dual Arrest in Cases of Relationship Violence".
In recent years, CCWS and EVA BC have received numerous reports from communities of cases involving the arrest of both parties in relationship violence situations. This backgrounder provides information on the issue of women being arrested in cases of relationship violence that includes a discussion on the gendered nature of relationship violence and a review of existing policies. It also updates the reader on the work of CCWS to address this issue.
